Monsters like to eat Souls.

Things are looking brighter. The one day I didn't go to work, the laboratory has a huge chemical explosion. I spent yesterday and today decontaminating it in body suit. I've been eating pizza every other day for the past 3 weeks. My bosses stole 30 empty promotional pizza boxes given out to freshmen so they can redeem it for a free medium pizza. Hence all week, we hop in the car and leave work for 1 1/2 hour to eat more free pizza and kill time.

I wish I could write more, but the 50 other things going on in my life must be kept secret for another 5 weeks. yay!

Everything is so redundant. I hate taking crap for other ppl's mistakes. Only 6 weeks left. If I didn't have to be so damn professional I'd probably kick somebody's ass by now.

Hectic. And its just the beginning too.

John Legend is the equivalent of a male Alicia Keys. Soooo good. Thanx Lily for the CD! I'll be listening to it a lot to calm my nerves down during this hectic quarter.

By the way, for those who don't know already, I am currently pledging for Alpha Kappa Psi the co-ed Business Fraternity with 11 other pledges. So far its been a really strange, unique, confusing, suspense-filled, exciting experience. I'm still surprised that I got a bid from a very selective organization where 80-90% are Managerial Economics majors. Apparently I stood out like a cow again. I have a tendency to do that at large events. At least it came to my advantage being the ONLY pre-health science major and the only one planning to open her own clinic.

Anyways, this will either burn me or turn me into one helluva organized, proactive overachiever. HA! maby something in between.

Thanx Lily, Amy, and Cindy for going to our small belated berfday shindig. Ultimate bowling has turned even more ultimate. I don't know how anyone can concentrate with 3 giant screens playing G-unit. Going bowling is now like staying at home where I can watch my BET all day.

I really like the thermal Cindy and Amy bought. I like it so much that when I went home, I tried it on and made outfits with it. No, I'm not a loser, I just like clothes.

Why does everybody cringe when I tell them my major? Really, the classes aren't THAT hard.

Time to reevaluate my Karma.

Today I lost my wallet and didn't even know it. It was filled with +$200 cash in bday money, my debit card and all forms of identification. Then the school contacted me hours later telling me that someone had turned in my wallet. For some reason, I didn't freak out. I just assumed that all my money had been taken as punishment for my bad karma.

As I was racing my car to campus, I kept thinking about a discussion at work today. My supervisor said UCD Medical Center caught on to all the lab technicians adding more hours than they actually do. So now we're advised to do at least 3/4 of the hours we put down instead of half. For making $50 more per paycheck than I deserve, my money being stolen would be payback.

And when I got my wallet back, I looked inside. All $211 in cash was there along with everything else. Wow. I am such a lucky bastard. On my way back home, I drove slower and stopped instead of racing thru a yellow light. On Monday, when I go back to the school web hosting services, I'm going to be nicer to the rude webmaster guy. He's been giving me the toughest time all summer and this quarter about hosting the club website. I sent him a detailed and exceptionally nice email asking for help and now he's FINALLY willing to comply. Its about time!

Happy Burfday to myself (and Vic)!

My 20th was spent drinking the night away at my aunt Patty's wedding in the Anaheim Hills and some other parts of Orange County. It was pretty good since I reunited with some cousins that I haven't seen in over 10 years. Its too bad they all live out-of-state in Dallas, Michigan, and Miami. I'd like to see that side of my family more often.

The union of my aunt Patty and new uncle Thuy was strange. The entire bride's side (my side) took up 90% of the wedding guests. We were lost and nobody, not even my parent's generation knew what was going on (c'mon, they came here in their early 20's). On the other hand, the groom's side was a small group and head-to-toe traditional in every possible way. When Vic uploads her ceremony pics, the juxtaposition between the 2 families is strikingly obvious. All the pics with guests in westernized outfits with lost or estatic facial expressions would be my family. Here are some pictures of my burfday weekend:

My Biochemistry book just arrived from Half.com. It says "Low Price Edition For sale in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan" on the lower right hand cover in bright peach. Then on the backside cover it says "This edition is manufactured in India and is authorised for sale only in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan".

The papers are unusually thin, almost see-through. I hope the English is easier to read.

New straightener! No more cowlicks, so now I can have straight hair everyday. I bet I look like a hella typical Asian girl.

We stood outside staring at bugs. He rested his arm on my shoulder, then sighed.

"Perfect height for an armrest. Really, its a great height. You know... I have a crush on you."
"No you don't! Lies!" Shouted instinctively out of my mouth.

My friend kept his arm rested on my right shoulder while he thought of something else to say. His friend interfered with a one liner joke to break the awkwardness. I was tipsy and being reckless like usual last nite.

"Ha! Like any of you would like me!" and walked away in disbelief that a cute, tall, nice guy would possibly say such a thing to me. I am officially socially, romantically, emotionally retarded. Time for another drink tonite and another heart to break.

So much to do this quarter! The SoCal wedding is coming up next weekend (my burfday), followed by Alpha Kappa Psi rush, Club & Organization faire, pre-optometry club recruitment, Prytanean Women's Honor's Society application & interview and tons of FUN academic stuff!
