Happy new years! By looking at the cookies in the Chinese bakeries, I assume its the year of the dog. All this money is raking in and I'm suddenly inclined to buy another pair of well fitted designer jeans. I just got 2 pairs professionally altered to my height and yet I want more! Damn those designers for catering to tall skinny white chicks. I shouldn't have to pay ten more bucks to get clothes to fit. That's what I get for being on the shorter end of the continuum.

Oh yes, spent the new years eve celebrating Allison's berfday:

I was in the library last night when I bumped into my pledge bros. My oh my do they have so much pride, always sporting the letters and hanging out together. I'll admit, I am out of the fraternity loop this quarter cuz I really want to catch up with my old friends. Even some of my old friends are in the frat but they aren't THAT involved either. Maybe its just my pledge class that is so joined at the hip.

They're so eager to see me and always want to sit next to me everywhere, even if I'm in a hurry or trying to study a mind boggling subject like Systematic Physiology. At meetings they stick together and don't sit near the rest of the frat. I, on the otherhand, integrate and centrally locate myself at those functions. Yea I enjoy AKPsi, but I probably hang out with folks from the other pledge classes more. Frankly, I just like having my own space to breathe.

Woo! I got a clinical internship in Sacramento! After a rigorous interview process, a few blurred truths, and some silly jokes, I got into The Willow Project. Its a student-run clinic where medical students and undergrads run health screenings for the homeless.

For those who did not check my AIM profile, yes, I am once again involved with Relay For Life. This time I'm on two teams: the Women's Honor Society and Alpha Kappa Psi. Donate $1 or $50, I don't care! Any amount will make your heart grow 4 times bigger GUARANTEED!

I'm thinking of moving out to a cheaper apartment. There's 6 girls living in this place and I'm paying $200 bucks more than the next highest paying resident, which would be Victoria. I want a cheaper place with ppl who I can hang out with. I don't want to spend my senior year being ripped off and living with ppl who are never around. Oh yes, that guy down there is my man, Jon, by the way. For all those who have not met or seen Jonathan Jair, this is him:

He works in the Stem Cell industry, talking to pregnant women and hospitals all day. On weekends I occasionally go to SF to visit him, shop, eat out at tiny or trendy restaurants and dance a bit. Most of the time he comes up to Davis on the weekends to hang out. So there. For those that are curious, that is my happy little life with Jon.

I'll post all my new years pics from Disneyland in THIS spot:

On another note, today the Office Max cashier asked me how much my binder costs. Thinking quickly, I told her that it cost half of its actual price. Sneaky! I mean, a binder SHOULD cost 1.29 and not 2.99. My lie was justified and therefore I feel great about saving a buck.
