Thanks to Victoria's easily accessible TAZO tea collection, I've probably tasted every TAZO tea flavor ever created. And now, I probably owe her a new collection. My late nights are spent sipping on tea while browsing the computer, watching tv, or before studying for a midterm. I've also replaced coffee drinking in the mornings with tea drinking. It just seems healthier and more relaxing that way. I can actually see myself catching up with a friend over noontime tea. How Euro is that?

So here are my favorite TAZO tea selections:
Black Tea: Awake, Earl Grey, Chai (caffeinated)
Green Tea: Zen, Om
Herbal Infusions: Calm

Most UNrecommended tea: Passion (it tastes like sipping on a bitter, warm watermelon)

This past week has been a lot of sneezing, wheezing and coughing. At least when I take my prescription anti-Histamine allergy medication, I know EXACTLY how its working in my body. A good thanks to my Systematic Physiology class. Apparently Cindy's taking the same exact course title at the exact same time at SJSU, what are the odds! Seems like all I talk about now is school.

School, work, and extracurricular took over my life. Just 3 years ago I was the average, uninvolved, apathetic high schooler who could care less about what I was doing or where I went for college. Now I am forcibly the overachieving, actively involved, somewhat emotionally attached college student who HAS to do all this crap to get into a half-decent grad school. Hopefully all this non-stop activity pays off, otherwise I'd have to hurt somebody or just get really fat and lazy.

Anyways, back to Cindy. Happy Berfday to CINDY! and a Happy Valentine's Day for those who care. Image hosting by Photobucket

My very first Stethoscope! Now I can pretend to be a doctor. I've been learning all day how to take blood pressure on myself before I have to try it out on homeless patients at the clinic. And by saying "learning", what I really mean is fumbling and not having a clue of what I should be looking for. If only I knew what tapping, swishing, whistling, and lub dub sounds are supposed to sound like in my arm.

Basic procedure:
Step ONE: open up stethoscope Image hosting by Photobucket

Step TWO: check one, check two Image hosting by Photobucket

Step THREE: place diaphragm above elbow joint on main artery and listen very very very hard Image hosting by Photobucket

Based on the pace of the lub dub, any swishing, or whistling, you can now tell the condition of your heart. For now, I'm still trying to hear anything besides silence in my artery.
