Learning how to drive stick shift: Lesson Deux

After an hour of looping around the Med school's parking lot, I felt like I succeeded at shifting from parked to reverse to 1st gear to 2nd gear and stopping-going. So with Jon by my side, clutching the door, I thought I was ready for the city streets. Nope, I was wrong, totally wrong. A giant 4x4 started tailgating me, then I stalled at the stop sign and simply panicked. So I snuck into a small side street where I stalled 3 more times at the same green light. Other drivers at the intersection were staring and wondering why I wasn't going, so I freaked out a bit and Jon looked horrified and practically shat in his pants too. When I finally managed to get the car going again, I hurried to the nearest parking lot at the school gym so Jon can finish the trip home.

How lame. I really wanna drive stick cause you know... all the cool (and cheap) cars are stick. Maybe I'll get it down in ten more lessons.
