These past few days have been mindless. Between spouts of window shopping at malls and eating out, I sit at home staring at television static. Comcast finally took away our 8 years of free cable. My parents have been out all weekend at the beach, SF, and Berkeley with their friends and older relatives. My brother is watching football with his friends while my sister is in San Diego. All you other college kids went back to school. Everyone is so busy.

At least I did something productive today. My brother and I gathered up old, practically unworn clothes, shoes, and blankets to donate to Hurricane Katrina victims through the Salvation Army. Man, my family consumes so much. Everything is in great or new condition.

This year, I'm gonna put a spending cap on appearal purchases. $150 per quarter MAX. That means a maximum of $50 per month on ALL purchases including shoes, socks, clothes, make up, accessories, underwear, hair products and everything else not listed. And eBay should be forbidden unless a purchase is neccessary, such as a birthday or xmas gift.

Budget goals of 2005-2006: Keep it simple. Minimize the frivolous.
