Online banking is supposed to expediate services. When I got my first credit card, I sent my second payment through mail. That was no good cuz the mailman didn't deliver my payment until 2 weeks later, how retarded cuz it usually gets there within 3 days. Anyways, I received my first late fee despite sending my payment 2 weeks in advance and the credit company has no sympathy for retarded postal workers. The next day I signed up for online banking so I can pay immediately, foregoing future late fees due to slow postal services.
Now for my second credit card, I signed up for online payments also. Except this time, when I paid in full, the credit company decided (after 2 weeks of receiving my payment) that they're gonna return my payment and tack on a $35 returned online payment fee. I have no idea why they'd do that cuz I have plenty in the bank to pay off my statement. And the customer service folks are taking forever to get back to me - through only email of course (since that's their new, oh-so-modern policy). I'm considering returning back to paper bills, but that might mean I'd have to send out my payments a month in advance and I'd still have the possibility of having them lost by the mailman. Trying to be a good customer and paying in full and on time seems to be pointless with credit companies and postal workers that don't comply. Oh what should I do, what should I do...
